PROJECT SUMMARY

Littledown House is located within the grounds of JP Morgan Bank in

Bournemouth. Listed in 1952 the building dates back to 1780 and is one of the earliest buildings in Bournemouth. The house is now used by JP Morgan Bank for meetings and hired as a meeting venue.

The sympathetic refurbishment works consisted mainly of internal decorations which included bespoke wall covering imported from America, specialist carpets and imported rugs along with specialist repairs to existing plasterwork, decorative moldings and timber sash windows. External stone repairs were carried out to stone features and defective façade sections.

We worked very closely with the Conservation Officers during the preconstruction phase to ensure each item of works were fully understood. We collated written procedures for each item of works along with methodologies to ensure our works were both in keeping with the Conservation standards and being carried out in a sympathetic manner.

Peter Grear, Contract Administrator Said:

Not only is Mike very experienced in construction but he is also calm under pressure, good leader and a pleasure to work with. The project was delivered on time and to the standard expected by JPM”
